Before you begin

LeadJabber sends through your own email gateway, so you also need a SendGrid or Mailgun account. You can register with LeadJabber first and set up the gateway afterwards. See Create a SendGrid account for LeadJabber or Create a Mailgun account for LeadJabber.

Create your account

1. Go to leadjabber.ai/register.

2. Fill in Company, Website and Country.

3. Fill in First name, Last name and Email address. Use your work email address.

4. Click Register.

5. Check your inbox. LeadJabber sends you an email with your password.

6. Log in with your email address and the password from the email.

What is free and what needs a subscription

Registration is free and needs no credit card. You can explore most of LeadJabber and set up everything before you pay: connect your email account and gateway, add your signature and build your sequences.

Two things need a paid subscription:

• Sending emails.
• Importing contacts.

The Getting started menu

New accounts see the Getting started menu, which lists the setup steps. Each step links to the right place in LeadJabber:

• Connect an email account: connect the mailbox you send from, so LeadJabber can use it as your sender address and collect replies. See Connect your email account to LeadJabber.
• Connect your email delivery provider: add the API key from SendGrid or Mailgun. See Add your SendGrid API key to LeadJabber or Add your Mailgun API key to LeadJabber.
• Create a Signature: add the signature used in your emails. See Add your email signature.
• Import your contacts: import contacts from a file. See Import contacts from a CSV or Excel file. Importing contacts needs a paid subscription.
• Create a sequence: build the emails and follow-ups your contacts receive. See Create a sequence in the Sequence Builder.

The Getting started menu disappears when the setup is complete. You can still reach every setting from the account menu: click your name in the top right corner.

Before you send your first email

Authenticate your sending domain with your gateway, so your emails are not marked as spam. See Authenticate your domain in SendGrid or Authenticate your domain in Mailgun, and What are SPF, DKIM and DMARC?.
