Remove a contact from a sequence
Short answer
Contacts are removed automatically when they reply, if the sequence is set to do so. To remove someone manually, open their contact card, go to Sequences and click the trash can next to the sequence. Or open the sequence manager, search for the contact, click them and choose Remove.
When contacts are removed automatically
A contact is taken out of the sequence automatically when they reply, as long as the sequence has the setting for removing contacts on reply switched on. This is the default. Remove a contact manually when they should not get more emails for another reason, for example because you have already talked on the phone.
Remove a contact from the contact card

Go to Contacts & Lists, then Contacts, search for the contact and click the name. You can also find the contact through Companies in the left menu.

Open Sequences on the right and click the trash can next to the sequence.

Confirm. You can add a log note with the reason, which helps colleagues understand what happened.
Remove a contact in the sequence manager

Open the sequence from Sequences, then Sequences, and click Manage.

Type the contact’s email address in the search field above the stages and press Enter. Only that contact is shown, in the stage they are in.

Click the contact and choose Remove. Confirm, and add a log note if you like.
Want to stop all future emails to someone, not just this sequence? Add them to the unsubscribed list. You can do this from the Engager when you set their status.
When to contact support
Contact us if a contact who replied is still receiving follow-ups. Email support@leadjabber.com with the contact’s email address and the sequence name.
